The community around Gaggenau, Gernsbach & Forbach issued some nice colourful notgeld dating from 1922. Each town/illage/place had its own shield/emblem/coat of arms, which can be found at the top of each note. Each piece also has the 3 different town stampmarks at the bottom of each note, embossed in the paper. This can be seen in the scan below, where each note also has the usual serial number. The place of issue can be seen from the reverse of the note - so here we have a 50m note and a 200m note from Forbach and the green 500m from Gernsbach.
As with all notged issues, there are some very interesting variant pieces. The 3 notes below show a 20m piece from Forbach (serial number without the asterisk sign), then a 20m piece from Gaggenau with no serial number (muster/specimen), followed by another scarce piece from Gernsbach with no serial number but 'Ungultig' (cancelled) on it. The last 2 pieces can be seen as scarce notgeld pieces which are highly collectable and desirable.
