TG-M (APR 2025)

Another month has flown by. I have been busy sorting out new additions and purchases that have recently arrived here. There are still a few bargains to be had if luck is with you! I have been adding scans to a lot of the website articles and they are becoming more complete over time. I am especially happy with the ‘saints on notgeld’, ‘animals on notgeld’ and Iron cross’ ones. I have only just noticed another saint so I will be adding that later this evening. It is only by studying the notes carefully that one sometimes notices other important things about the note. I have been able to add a couple of uncatalogued variants to my collection and hope to add a few more in the coming months.

I will be adding an article about some Geislingen hyper-inflationary pieces, in the next few days. The cancellation mark, like an ‘anchor shape’ are interesting as too are the statements on them. (see ‘banknote of the month’ on the homepage).

The weather is improving so I will be cycling a little more hopefully. The miles have decreased but I still want to enjoy the freedom cycling brings and the fitness levels I try to maintain.

This note shows how bad a condition or ‘used’ a serienscheine piece can sometimes be found in. It is not only collector or casual handling that has put the note is such a bad condition. It goes to show that not all serienscheine were just for collectors. Some actually were used in circulation as forms of payment.

Happy collecting and hopefully happy collector luck!
