We are currently upgrading some of the website software so the IT services we use, stay in contract and are supported. This work is on-going but we are trying to keep the impact to our customers as minimal as possible. There may be a slight delay in email notifications but all will be corrected as and when we are in a position to do that. Looking after a website, the content, the interfaces, the different software packages and the integration required for all that to run seemlessly, is an integral part to keeping this website notgeld resource ‘up and running’. Specialist IT personnel are dedicated to this notgeld website, so availability can remain at 99% for all our visitors, GNCC members and non-members alike. Please bear with us if you do spot the odd temporary problem. We are on top of it all and most visitors will not have any issues at all.
This past week, I have been doing a bit of gardening. Tidying up, clearing, weeding, spraying and replanting etc. It is so nice to be out in the warm fresh air, especially when the sun is shining. The water lillies in the pond are about to open and things are looking good. The chickens we bought a few weeks ago have settled in and we have had our first few eggs from them. The size is small but we have noticed over the past few days that the egg sizes are getting bigger. The granddaughters love helping to feed, clean and empty the eggs from the coop. Alfie, the dog, is intrigued by the chickens but is kept well away from them.
Notgeld – I have been very lucky again in the past few days to acquire some really good notgeld pieces for my collection. Information has been added to lots of the website articles and as usual, a couple of new articles will be published over the next few weeks. I have learnt a few things from the new notgeld acquisitions and my passion for notgeld remains strong because I am always learning new stuff about them. It is what makes collecting notgeld so interesting. We have had a few new GNCC members join, so we all wish them a happy and pleasant notgeld collecting experience.
Here is a complete set of 3 Austrian notgeld that I recently scanned and uploaded to the notgeld shop. Printed in ‘shiny gold’ they make for a great addition to any collection. As ever, HAPPY COLLECTING to everyone!
