For the past few weeks and the coming few months, the website is gradually being updated. The menu options are becoming too numerous to manage on normal dropdowns so that will slightly change. For visitors and members, I don’t think there will be any concerns with the on-going work. Hopefully it will improve performance and keep things tidy and clear for everyone. Certain articles which are currently in the wrong category dropdown will also be corrected. All this work will make it easier to locate a specific article that you are interested in.
I will hopefully publish 1 new article this month. As the website work is quite consuming that will be taking up most of my ‘notgeld time’. Are there are articles or cities not covered already that you would like to see some info on? Maybe you can assist me in writing one? The ‘Spainish notgeld’ article was a great example of knowledge sharing from our GNCC member, Jose.
I received this very interesting piece a few days a go. It is a specimen piece from Roetha, which is missing its usual serial number on the reverse side. It also has ‘Ungueltig’ (cancelled / not valid) hand-written across its back:

The note catalogues under T-6120.05.01M. These 1917 notgeld issues can sometimes be quite scarce, so do keep an eye out for them. The ‘normal’ piece (with serial) catalogues at 50 euros.
Let me know of any specimen pieces that you have and maybe we can sort out a deal, together!!?? They are one of the remaining specialist areas of notgeld that I still collect, nowadays. Most of my collection is / has been sold already but I still have that ‘collector’ bug! You can’t let do of everything and as I had quite a few, I thought it best to specialise with these.
