Angermuende (scarce) – 5 ztr. rye!

Description

A beautiful note issued on whitish paper with a face value of  5 ztr (zentner) Roggen (5 hundred weight of rye). The note was issued in Angermuende by the ‘Landbundgenossenschaft’ and is undated. The piece is in ‘au-unc’ condition and it does not have a circular stamp mark or a hand-written signature , which means that the note was not actually issued.

(wertbestaendige – fixed value – the note would still be worth xxlbs of rye in, for example, 3 weeks time, irrespective of the inflation rate). Only around 1/8th of all wertbestaendige issues were for an actual commodity! This would be a great addition for your notgeld collection……………Very scarce piece which catalogues under Lindman – A015.1, with a catalogue value of 80 euros (2008).
