Description
Aschaffenburg 50pf ‘verkehrsausgaben’ specimen /muster piece! The note is missing the usual serial number and it has a hole-punched cancellation ‘UNGILTIG’. Imagery shows the world with a dagger through it, but with a dove of peace on top. These were unstable times, just after WWI. The note has a valid until date of ‘Gueltig bis auf Widerruf’ (‘valid until revoked’) . The piece is in ‘au-unc’ condition. These specimen types are wonderful and would go well in your notgeld collection, especially if you like the more usual note alongside the scarcer variant piece. The Aschaffenburg ‘UNGILTIG’ piece is scarce.
