Description

Set of 3 AUSTRIAN anti-semitic/judaika pieces, issued in Aurolzmuenster and dating from 1920.

(The previous year, on 21st February 1919, Count Arco-Valley had murdered Kurt Eisner, the Minister President of the short-lived Bavarian Soviet republic.  He described Eisner as “a Bolshevist, a Jew; he isn’t German, he doesn’t feel German, he subverts all patriotic thoughts and feelings.  He is a traitor to this land.”) Graf Arco has been chosen to be shown on this set of notgeld.
