Description
Meggenhofen – 2 x ’80heller’ pieces of Austrian anti-Semitic notgeld in blue, on white paper (normal) and an uncommon variant on greyblue paper! I only ever collected 1 of these greyblue paper types in over 45 years of collecting. Front of notes depict a man with stereo-typical Jewish features, taking good/strong money (hartgeld) out of the country between 1914-1919 and then (on the right hand side of the picture) worthless notgeld coming into the country in 1921. Excellent interesting AS pieces for your notgeld collection. The variant is a catalogued and genuine different type. The ‘basic’ note features in my AS book ‘TARNISHED GEMS‘.
