This Austrian ’25’ joke/fantasy note is issued by the “National Bank of Eferding” to “ease the pestilence of Notgeld” and has a value of 25 “in Spanish currency“, “Spanish” meaning strange or weird as in the German expression “das kommt mir spanisch vor” (“that looks a bit Spanish to me”; a bit like the English expression “it’s all Greek to me”). The note is signed by Messrs Ulk (Spoof), Mumpitz (Nonsense) and Schalk (Prankster). Note is in ‘used but very good’ condition.
