Issued in Buss by the ‘Mannesmannroehren-Werken’ (Mannesmann Pipeworks) and undated but dating from 1918-1921 as per catalogue, this 10m brown coloured piece is very interesting indeed!
This fascinating example of a 1918-1921 ‘grossgeld’ notgeld issue, is both interesting and actually tragic, as the text on the back explains – the company is having to give out payday vouchers to their workers because of the lack of cash for their pay-packets. (The reverse side scan is taken from the 5m piece but is similar for this 10m note).
