Frankenhausen 20,000 mark

A German inflationary piece issued in Frankenhausen with a face value of 20,000 mark. Dated ‘9 August 1923’, this note has a relatively low face value as it was issued at the start of the hyper-inflationary period that hit Germany in latter half of 1923. The note, which has a low serial number and 3 hand-written signatures, is in ‘good’ overall condition but has a water stain mark across its reverse.
