THIS IS NOTGELD FROM 1947!
A blue coloured 10 Rpf private note from Hannover issued by ‘KUF GmbH’, featuring a large hamster hoarding and eating money. The reverse side has a stampmark stating ‘valid until 31st Dez 1947’ and it also has a serial number of ‘0611’. This is a piece I found quite attractive and interesting, so I think it would be a nice addition for anyone’s notgeld collection. Scarcer piece – you don’t see them very often. The rhyme is lovely:
Because stupidity is not yet punishable by law
The hamster eats everything, even small change,
Let him enjoy the taste, we’re printing here
