Description

This is an interesting piece of notgeld related ephemera. When a sheet of notgeld had been printed and the ink was still wet, the printing house would seperate the newly printed sheets by putting a thing absorbent paper sheet between the actual printed notgeld sheets.

On this piece, one can see the back and front of a note, but both are ‘mirrored’.  The image impressions were left by the wet front and then the wet back of the next newly printed sheet that was placed on top of it.

A great addition for your notgeld collection, especially if you have the actual original notgeld piece (a 10pf Donauwoerth note) to go with this lining piece. (You only get the lining piece here and not the related notgeld note).
