A 50pf German/Polish notgeld piece, issued in Koenigsberg and dating from around 1920. The piece is in ‘au-unc’ condition, as is not the norm with these types (verkehrsausgaben). This is a really nice and interesting piece for your notgeld collection. Serial number of the piece you purchase will be different to the one shown in the scan, which is for reference only. Around the owl, is a wise statement about things in general and the state of everything : it states:
‘What help are burning torches, lights and specs
When people don’t want to see?’
