Description
AUSTRIAN anti-semitic notgeld 2 x ‘set of 3’ (different coloured variants) issued in Amstetten depicting ‘Jewish newspapers being burnt’. The reverse side is ‘upside down’ to normal and is therefore scarcer. The note was issued by the Amstetten Branch of the German-Austrian Protection Society ‘League of Antisemites’. All 6 pieces are in ‘au-unc’ condition. light green and dark green (10h) – light brown and light orange (20h) & greyblue and light blue (50h) which also have the swaztika on their back – please see scans. FYI – Today, Amstetten is infamously known as the birth place of Josef Fritzl
