Description
Bockenem (Ambergau) set. All pieces in this set have the swaztika symbol on them, with 2 pieces actually mentioning anti-semitic texts. The whole set though is ‘aS‘ (anti-Semitic), as it was issued by the local printer and publisher ‘Heinrich Rehmann‘. This is an uncommon set to come across. A very colourful and highly desirable and historically interesting set! All pieces are in ‘au-unc’ condition, as is the norm with these types.
(Rehmann was an ardent National Socialist who printed at his own cost, Bernhard Rust’s Nazi newspaper, the weekly ‘Niedersaechsischer Beobachter‘ (Lower Saxony Observer), re-established in 1925 after the ban on the NSDAP was lifted (source : Detlef Muehlberger’s ‘Hitler’s Voice‘, 2004)).
