Bonn 25pf – SPECIMEN!

Bonn 25pf scarce SPECIMEN / MUSTER piece!! The note, which is in ‘au-unc’ condition has 3 hole-punch cancellation marks on it where the serial number is usually located. This is a ‘true’ specimen or ‘MUSTER’ piece of German verkehrsausgaben notgeld, dating from around 1920!! Hard to come by pieces, these SPECIMEN types are a great addition for anyone’s notgeld and banknote collection. This note is not simply missing its serial number ……which could have happened if 2 notes went through the numerator machine together…….but is a true SPECIMEN piece, issued probably for specific dignatories from the town as a souvenir of the issue ….. and possibly a few special collectors! The hole-punched cancellation marks, stopped a serial number being added at a later date and the note entering into circulation. This is a highly collectable item!!
