Description
A really nice looking 100 milliarden mark note from Geislingen which has an ‘anchor’ shaped cancellation mark, bottom left corner. This uniface piece, which has a serial radar number of ‘06660’ is in ‘au-unc‘ condition – please see scan. The bottom line states:
'Nachahmung oder Faelschung dieses Gutscheines wird mit Zuchthaus bestraft' ('Imitation or counterfeiting of this voucher will be punished with imprisonment.')
It wasn’t just imprisonment though : “Zuchthaus” would be more like a “re-education facility”. It was more a penitentiary or a house of correction. It was a place for punitive imprisonment, often with forced labor.
