Hamm (‘Probedruck’) very scarce – print sample piece!!

Description

A very scarce 50pf  ‘print sample’ or ‘probedruck’ piece issued in Hamm and stamped with ‘Probedruck‘. (Pattern print). These types of notes were usually from a test print run and then were handed out to dignatories and special collectors, archivists, newspaper etc etc. The piece is in ‘au-unc’ condition. The ‘normal’ piece which has a serial number on it catalogues under Gr/Mehl-568.1 and Lm.551a – but don’t forget, this piece is the scarce test print or probedruck piece! These Hamm types are the only serienscheine pattern pieces I have seen in over 50 years that actually have the word ‘Probedruck’ on them!! This could be a great opportunity to get a scarce piece into your collection that almost all other collectors won’t have! (GNCC members can buy this piece for 80 euros).
