Description
A German inflationary piece issued in Murnau with a face value of 100,000 mark. Dated ‘August 1923’, this note has a wonderful dragon graphic, along with a stamp mark of a dragon (the emblem of the city). The note has a serial number and the front blue and white chequered colours are representation of the state flag of Bavaria, historically associated with the royal Bavarian Wittelsbach family, which ruled Bavaria from 1180 to 1918. Overall the note is in ‘good’ condition but it does have a couple of small tearson its bottom edge – please see scans which show front and back of the piece. It would make a great inflationary notgeld addition for your collection!
