Description
Wilkau – a strange pair of uniface private card pieces, issued by ‘Max Planitzer’ which have face values or 25 & 50 ‘Brote’ (loaves of bread). I can’t find them in the catalogues at the moment so I can’t say they are wertbestaendige pieces, which I assumed. The face values seem rather large for individual bread rations or amounts so they may have been for trade use?? The 2 small card pieces are both in ‘au-unc’ condition – please see scan. By design, I would assume they date from the 1920’s.
