Muenchen – baekerpfennige 1 + 2 Pf ‘Drogerie Bierl’

Muenchen ‘baeckerpfennig’ – ‘Drogerie Bierl’ 2 pieces – 1 + 2pf. These round small sized pieces are made of coloured card and are in ‘unused / very good’ condition, as is normal with these types. These pieces are true pieces of private verkehrsausgaben notgeld. These typesare generally known as ‘baekerpfennige’ and were predominantly issued by shop-keepers and bakers located in Muenchen (Munich). Bierl was a drug store (‘Drogerie’) and these pieces catalogue under T-4680.0165.01/02. Every good notgeld collection, in my opinion, should have at least a couple of examples of these ‘baekerpfennige’ notgeld in them. The pieces date from around 1920. Complete set of 2 round pieces. The small face values allowed the shop keepers to go about their daily businesses, when there was a lack of small change in the economy.
