TGM (July 2020)

Time fly’s by……. and we are still in the grips of COVID-19. Things here in the UK are much improved and I do hope all of you are getting to see your loved ones whilst staying safe.

I am starting this month as busy as ever, writing a new notgeld book! I am hoping it will be finished by the end of the year so I can then publish it early in 2021. I won’t tell you here what the subject matter is – that can wait for now. It is keeping me busy and keeping my brain active so that has to be a good thing. I’m trying to stay fit but the changeable weather has meant that my usual cycling routine of 120 miles (just under 200 kilometres) a week, has taken a slight knock. I should be out at least 3 times a week, but some weeks I have just managed one cycle ride.

Notgeld:

On the website, hopefully you can see that I have created a total of 4 flip books now : some just for my GNCC members, so I hope you enjoy those. I continue to get emails from individuals with their questions and queries so I enjoy that 2 way correspondence. More notgeld articles have been published of course, with the latest one being a post on the Konrad Hanf printing house issues, based around the district of Pinneberg – please log in and have a look at that if you haven’t done so already. I have purchased a few more notgeld pieces for my collection that I wanted and also scanned in some more pieces for my shop. I hope I offer a great range of ‘better’ and ‘interesting’ pieces for the passionate notgeld collectors. My notgeld research continues and a catalogue error has now been discussed and has been added to the website. The greater our knowledge the greater the hobby becomes! Stay safe and stay happy in your collecting worlds!!
