There is a ghost town note coming up for sale at Teutoburger from ‘Plantin’ if anyone is interested? I have taken a copy of the scans and will be adding it to my ELUSIVE GEMS book. Not 100% sure it is a serienscheine, but it fits quite well as an interesting piece for sure:

I just added  ‘ALLSTEDT’ to the sets that spell out the town name. (Lm.15 & Gr/Mehl-15) Only the 6 x 50pf do this and they spell out ‘PFALZ ALLSTEDT. The catalogues have them in the correct order.  Someone just bought the set and I noticed this when getting them ready for posting out. :good:

    Hi Marcel!

Oh WOW then!! Super pieces that most collectors…..unlike lucky GNCC members……..won’t ever see. I’ll create an article so they don’t get lost over time just in the multitude of written forum posts.

Now my news of the day to everyone – please have a read of my latest article ‘artist’s draft’ – hope you like it!! :yahoo: B-) :yahoo:

    Hi Tony,

So far I know these notes are from the period 1920/21.

Hi Marcel :bye: – can you clarify for me please – are these ‘modern’ notgeld prints or from the 1920/21 period?

    They are very interesting….. :good:

    Serienscheine and “ghost towns”

Some time ago I just underbid for an album with “ghost cities”. These towns do not excist in Germany. The album is a prospectus of printing house (unfortunally I do not have the name). These notes are examples for new Serienscheine (See also the article written by Tony “Town names reversed”).

And, see for a cataloged “ghost town”: Neukirch
